Their departure left grief in the hearts of many people, including Joana, Vanessa's manager. Joana admitted that she had a bad feeling a few days earlier.

"On Sunday, I had a feeling. I was working in my office, it was 1:30 in the morning. It was almost dawn. I was working with employees in that office," she explained to the media when met at the funeral home, Permata Mediterania Housing, Srengseng, West Jakarta, Thursday (4/11/2021).

At that time, Joana smelled a stench of carcass. "I smelled the stench of carcass back and forth, so the smell didn't stay," she continued.

Curious about what she experienced, Joana called her mother. According to her mother, it was a sign that someone would pass away.

"Finally, I called my mother this morning, I asked my mother. My mother said 'usually when there is a smell like that, a strange smell like that, someone is going to die,'" she explained.

Previously, Joana had prohibited Vanessa and Bibi from going to Bali through the land route frequently.

"But indeed, I did prohibit her around the end of September. I prohibited her from going to Bali through the land route and then crossing by boat. Because I saw that the weather was like that and she was intensively going back and forth with Gala," said Joana.

"I said, 'enough, don't keep going back and forth. If you want to take a plane,'" continued the woman who usually takes care of Vanessa's jobs on television.
