Vicky Prasetyo Doesn't Regret Spending Billions to Run for Election Even Though He Didn't Sell His House and Car

Kapanlagi.com - Artis Vicky Prasetyo is one of the artists who registered as a legislative candidate in the 2024 General Elections. The ex-husband of Angel Lelga is known to be running as a candidate for the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) in the West Java VI electoral district from the Perindo Party.

The artist, who is nicknamed Gladiator, admitted to spending billions of rupiah to run as a legislative candidate. He provides assistance and seeks support.

"Well, it's called socialization, waiting for us to really go down to the community and provide assistance, that's how it is," said Vicky Prasetyo when met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (20/2/2024).

1. Not Selling Goods

Interestingly, Vicky does not sell valuable items, such as cars and houses, to be used as capital to advance as a legislative candidate. He admitted that the funds used for campaigning came from his savings during his television appearances.

"No, I didn't go that far (selling houses and cars). I still have a car, the car in front of me is still visible. Everything is fine. It's just that, yes, we struggle with the savings during filming, it's not hypocritical. We will definitely provide it, because we are participating," said Vicky Prasetyo.

However, Vicky Prasetyo does not regret spending a lot of money to run as a legislative candidate.

"No, God willing, everything has happened. Regret will not replace our disappointment. So, let's just accept it and plan for the future if we pass. There is still a regional election," he said.

2. Still Waiting for Party Vote Acquisition

So, what is the result of Vicky Prasetyo's vote acquisition? He claimed to have received a fairly good number of votes. However, the vote acquisition from his party only reached 4 percent.

"From the KPU and in several polling stations, I won with a significant margin, with 58, 72, 78, and 39 votes in each polling station, although maybe the party is still in the process of fighting and in the quick count, it's only 4 percent," said Vicky Prasetyo.

"But personally, we received a fairly good number of votes with that result. That's why I appreciate the team that has worked. It's safe to say that we are still fighting for the final result," concluded Vicky.
