Vicky Prasetyo Sentenced to Four Months in Prison, Mother: My Child is Innocent

Kapanlagi.com - Last Thursday (9/9/2021), the defamation trial filed by Angel Lelga against defendant Vicky Prasetyo finally reached a verdict. The South Jakarta District Court judges found the presenter guilty and sentenced him to four months in prison.

As a parent, Emma Fauziah expressed her disappointment with the judge's decision. She believes that her child is innocent. According to her, such actions are reasonable for a husband who sees his wife with another man in a room.

"Every day, I pray that Vicky will not be imprisoned. (When I found out the result) of course, I was disappointed, my child is innocent. Whatever the current verdict is, we have to accept it," said Emma, who was met in the Ampera area, South Jakarta.

Previously, Vicky had been detained for two months and ten days. When the verdict was announced, will the husband of Kalina Ocktaranny continue his sentence behind bars?

"The sentence is four months, and he has already served two months and ten days. So, I don't understand what will happen next. I don't understand how the calculation works," Emma continued.

1. The Struggle is Not Over

In line with Emma Fauziah, Ramdan Alamsyah as Vicky Prasetyo's legal representative also expressed disappointment upon learning the verdict of the panel of judges. He requested one week to consider whether to appeal or accept the decision.

"If we're disappointed, yes, we are very disappointed. We want our client to be acquitted, but the panel of judges said otherwise. Therefore, we will wait and see what the future holds, our struggle is still long," said Ramdan in a separate interview session.

This case began with Vicky Prasetyo's raid on Angel Lelga in November 2018. At that time, Vicky, who was still married to Angel, found his wife together with Fiki Alman in a room.

The raid resulted in Vicky reporting Angel to the South Jakarta Metro Police for alleged adultery. Feeling defamed, Angel Lelga retaliated by reporting Vicky to the police for defamation and slander.

Not long after, Vicky's report was dismissed by the police, and Angel was declared innocent. Meanwhile, Angel's report succeeded in getting Vicky imprisoned before eventually receiving a suspension of detention.
