The lawsuit hearing of Keenan Nasution against Vidi Aldiano for the alleged infringement of the use of the song "Nuansa Bening" without permission was held again at the Central Jakarta Commercial Court on Tuesday (17/6/2025). The agenda of the hearing is still focused on the initial stage, which is the examination of the legality of the parties.
In this hearing, Vidi was not present in person as he has granted full power to his legal team. Yakup explained that Vidi's presence is not yet necessary at this initial stage.
"Tuesday, June 17, which means the day after tomorrow. The agenda is still to complete the legalities. It seems that Vidi will not be present because he has given us the authority, so we will be the ones attending," explained Yakup.
Regarding the possibility of Vidi's absence in the upcoming hearings, Yakup could not confirm. However, he emphasized that Vidi's absence is not a form of evasion from the legal process.
"I don't know what it will be like. For now, since it is still about legalities and other matters, the legal authority can still be delegated. From their side, it is also the legal representatives who are present. As far as I know, their legal representatives are the ones present," said Yakup.
The rumor about Vidi avoiding the court proceedings was strongly denied by Yakup. He stated that Vidi was actually quite surprised by the lawsuit because previously the relationship between the involved parties had been good.
"No, not at all avoiding it. Because from Vidi's side, they were quite shocked by this. All of his friends were shocked, and his family was shocked too," he revealed.
"Maybe later it will be Vidi's side that can tell more about it, he has been going through this well for over a decade, so suddenly there is this issue," concluded Yakup Hasibuan.
