Vincent and Desta's Dream Finally Comes True by Organizing a Big Skateboard Event Through "Bukan Main"

Kapanlagi.com - After successfully holding six editions of Vindes Sport that have always been awaited by sports fans, this year Vindes surprises again with its latest innovation. The event titled Bukan Main: Go, Play, Do! is set to take place on October 26-27, 2024, at Senayan Park, Jakarta.

This time, the event carries a recreational concept that combines games, art, and music into one unity. Featuring four main games, namely Main Luncur (Professional Skateboarding Jamming Session), Main Tandem (Art Decorated Bicycle Show), Main Lagu (Music Performance), and MinimArtKet (Creative Market), Vindes aims to bring the audience to enjoy the excitement in a more relaxed atmosphere.

"Bukan Main is a new IP from Vindes that serves as an alternative entertainment. While Vindes Sport focuses more on sports competitions, this time we try to present games that involve the community and the audience more. We want to give the audience space to participate and directly experience the excitement," explained Vincent Rompies, CEO and Founder of Vindes Corp in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, Thursday (10/10/2024).

Vincent added that over the past two years, Vindes has often focused on sportainment events. However, this time, they want to create something different by presenting games that emphasize recreation and entertainment.

"We want to focus on games that can be enjoyed in a more relaxed manner, such as play areas." "After holding sportainment six times, we feel this is the right time to create a play space that can be enjoyed by the community," he said.

1. Showcase Pro Skateboarders

One of the games that attracts attention is Main Luncur which features professional Indonesian skateboarders, such as Basral Graito, Made Richie, Rubianda, and Dede Bayu Satya.

These skateboarders will showcase their best tricks on the prepared ramp, providing an attraction that is guaranteed to amaze the spectators. As a skateboard fan since the past, Vincent felt inspired to hold this event as a form of celebration for the skateboard community in Indonesia.

“The initial idea actually came from me and Desta who used to love skateboarding. We had a dream to present a big skateboard event, and we even wanted to bring Tony Hawk," Vincent said.

"But because it was too expensive, we finally brought Agus Rajawali. We want to bring back the excitement like before, where skateboarding and punk rock music became one,” Vincent added.

In addition to Main Luncur, this event also features Main Tandem, a unique game that combines cycling and art. Public figures such as Soleh Solihun, Boiyen, and Poppy Sovia will pair up with artists like Popomangun, Alex GodMatter, and others to navigate the obstacle course on creatively decorated tandem bicycles.

2. Guaranteed Festive

Not only games, Bukan Main is also enlivened by musical performances from various local bands in the Main Lagu segment. Names like Ali, Morfem, Sukatani, Perunggu, Panturas, and Frigi-Frigi are ready to entertain the audience with energetic music performances. The presence of Oom Leo with his humorous stage style also adds to the excitement of this event.

This event is further complemented by the presence of Minim(Art)ket, a creative market selling various interesting products from food, fashion, to merchandise made by local artists. Visitors can relax, shop, and interact with the creative community in this area, making Bukan Main an event that not only presents games but also an exciting shopping experience.
