Virgoun's Party Plans to File a Child Custody Transfer Lawsuit

"First, in the near future we are waiting for a call for mediation and visitation. Second, after the results of the mediation are agreed upon, whether the mediation fails or a peace agreement is reached, we will immediately file a petition for the transfer of child custody to our client in the near future. We are currently drafting and preparing it," explained Sandy Arifin at the Komnas PA office, East Jakarta, Tuesday (10/2/2026).

During the process at Komnas PA, Virgoun has presented all defenses and facts related to child custody that he has been involved in. This explanation is expected to be able to counter the negative narrative that has developed on social media. The lawyer emphasized that all clarifications provided by Virgoun are very complete and address the concerns of the reporting party.

"And everything that was requested for clarification has been conveyed by Virgoun. And what was conveyed by Mas Sandy is final, it has narrowed down like that. So first regarding mediation, we will determine the date later according to the call from Komnas, and second regarding visitation," explained Wijayono Hadi Sukrisno.

Virgoun himself admitted that he is ready to undergo mediation with his ex-wife. Although he feels tired from constantly dealing with legal issues, he remains committed to the future of his children. Virgoun emphasizes that his current focus is to maintain stability in his life so he can continue to take good care of his offspring.

"Bismillah, I am ready. The mental health of the children is the most important thing to protect. I myself must remain stable because I don’t want to deal with legal matters anymore, it’s exhausting. So, it must be done for the future of the children," said Virgoun.

The legal team also expressed appreciation to the media crew who have been following this case from the beginning. They hope that through this clarification at the National Commission on Child Protection, the public can see another side of this issue and not just corner one party.
