Kartika Putri suddenly became the public's attention after her statement regarding the presidential and vice presidential debates was deemed inappropriate. In a video she uploaded on her TikTok account some time ago, the woman who is familiarly called Karput had an idea, besides debates, presidential candidates are also asked to recite the Quran in public.

"Honestly, I really want to listen to the presidential candidates reciting the Quran. We will choose the one with a melodious voice," said Kartika Putri in the video.
According to Kartika Putri, a leader who can recite the holy book beautifully and nicely is a wise, trustworthy, and caring leader.
In fact, according to her birth date on January 20, 1991, instead of just debating, reciting the Quran is a good way to see a good leader.
"We encourage reciting the Quran because all the candidates are Muslims, so at least they should adhere to one religion. I don't ask non-Muslims to recite the Quran," she added.
This suggestion from Kartika Putri apparently made netizens angry. Kartika Putri's statement does not reflect the life of the Indonesian people who adhere to several beliefs.
