Wanting a Legally Recognized Marriage, Aliff Alli Wants to Be Acknowledged as the Father of Aska Ongi's Child

This is because of their child's interests, named Putri Alyssa Ismillah Khan. Aliff Alli wants to be acknowledged as the father of his child in the eyes of the law.

"(The purpose of the marriage validation) is for the child's status. Aliff fulfilled the promise of marriage from the beginning. Both issues concern the child. The child is united by Aliff," said Aliff Alli's lawyer, Asgar Sjarfi, when met at the Central Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday (6/1).

1. Always Thinking about the Child

Aliff Alli filed a lawsuit for the validation of marriage and divorce because he is always thinking about his child. Ever since separating from Aska Ongi, Aliff Alli has never met Putri Alyssa Ismillah Khan again.

Especially when Aliff Alli was tested positive for COVID-19. When his condition worsened, the actor, who is a Malaysian citizen, often mentioned his child.

"When Aliff was dying, he kept calling for his child, thinking about her. How, according to religion, when the country does not recognize it. That's what made Aliff have to immediately validate the marriage," said the legal representative.

2. Doing Everything Possible

Not only that, Aliff Alli has done everything possible to be recognized as a father, but all efforts have failed because Aska Ongi is said to be uncooperative because Aliff Alli's name is not listed in the birth certificate of Putri Alyssa Ismillah Khan. This is because Aliff Alli married Aska Ongi secretly when Aska Ongi was four months pregnant.

“Previously, we did the validation because we were in mediation at KPAI but failed (Aska) did not want to come. And the mediation with Mother Aska in Cibubur was blocked by her parents, so we couldn't do the mediation. Even though Aliff wanted to meet with her parents to discuss this matter," concluded Asgar Sjarfi.
