Kapanlagi.com - Eid al-Fitr is just around the corner, and there is news from Elma Theana. She, together with the Indonesian Film Artists Association (Pafindo), held a breaking of the fast event with orphans and also gave donations.
The event was held at the Al-Matiin Islamic Boarding School in Ciputat, South Tangerang, on Wednesday (27/4/2022). On this occasion, Elma Theana and Pafindo gave donations to 50 orphans.
"We came here to give donations to orphans, and also to give them groceries to help lighten their burden," said Elma Theana.
Bagiono, as the chairman of Pafindo, said that the donation event is routinely held every Ramadan. However, this year is different from previous years.
"We are different now, we don't want to break the fast like last year, in a fancy place like a restaurant. We have no limitations on orphans," said Bagiono.
Bagiono also mentioned that coming directly to the location of the orphans aims to see the life they live.
"When we visit the Islamic boarding school, we know the struggle, the development of the boarding school, mosque, school, and the orphans also feel touched," he continued.
Elma Theana also expressed her happiness to be able to visit the orphanage and see the lives of the orphans there firsthand.
"I'm happy, really happy to have an event like this. In this blessed month, let's take advantage of this moment to see it firsthand," she said.
