"For the past 2 years (including this year), every Ramadan people always ask me this and many ask. Last year, I didn't answer at all because I thought it was still reasonable. Maybe those who ask are not up to date with the news, or they don't know, or just curious," Salmafina wrote to start her explanation.

She also added, "To me, this is the same thing as my fellow Christians asking, 'Do you still go to church?'. Both are impolite to me and I feel uncomfortable being asked like that. And regarding fasting, of course not. Try asking a convert, 'Do you celebrate Christmas?'. It would be strange and annoying."
