Winning Against Dion Wiyoko in Badminton Match, Raffi Ahmad Admits Being Nervous Until His Hands Tremble

Through the event broadcasted live by SCTV and Rans Entertainment, Raffi Ahmad successfully defeated Dion Wiyoko in two straight sets with scores of 21-14 and 21-13.

1. Nervous Until Trembling

Although he was able to defeat Dion Wiyoko, Raffi Ahmad admitted that he was very nervous and his hands were trembling during the match. Moreover, Raffi Ahmad only trained five times before participating in this competition.

"I swear I was so nervous, my hands were trembling. I am confident when playing tennis, but I was very nervous playing badminton. Because Dion and I usually practice together (tennis). We never met in badminton. I only played badminton five or six times, so my hands were trembling a lot. Because I am not used to it at all. So I am still very nervous," said Raffi Ahmad after the match.

2. Playing Badminton is More Difficult

Because he often plays tennis and is not accustomed to playing badminton, Raffi Ahmad also feels many differences. He also said that playing badminton is more difficult.

"It's very different from tennis. In badminton, you have to be more aggressive. We have to chase points in front, so it's faster. In tennis, the game can last almost three hours, but this is faster. Because we are not used to badminton, I think it's more difficult," said the husband of Nagita Slavina.

3. Dion Wiyoko Admits His Defeat

Meanwhile, Dion Wiyoko admits his defeat in this match because he couldn't play calmly. He also praises Raffi Ahmad's performance, which is indeed better.

"Yes, I lost earlier, it turns out it's not as easy as I thought. When playing, I was actually defeated by my own thoughts. So I ended up overthinking, unable to play freely, restless, impatient, and rushing, that's why there were many self-inflicted deaths. But in terms of quality, Raffi's performance is indeed good," concluded Dion Wiyoko.
