Withdrawal of Divorce Lawsuit, Court Considers Virgoun and Inara Rusli Reconciled

Kapanlagi.com - Virgoun, through his legal representative, withdrew the file for the divorce lawsuit against Inara Rusli on Wednesday (17/5/2023). The withdrawal of the lawsuit has been approved by the West Jakarta Religious Court.

According to Sulaiman, the spokesperson for the West Jakarta Religious Court, the withdrawal of the lawsuit is allowed in legal proceedings. "According to legal procedures, it is allowed. We respect the petitioner's request to withdraw the case," said Sulaiman when met at his office on Friday (19/5/2023).

1. Reconciled Again?

Following the withdrawal of the lawsuit, the West Jakarta Religious Court considers the case registered under number 1377/G/202 as finished and the Court considers the petitioner, Virgoun, and his wife, Inara Rusli, as reconciled. "Because the case has been withdrawn, we consider it finished. We consider them (Virgoun and Inara) as reconciled and considered as husband and wife again," said Sulaiman.

Regarding Virgoun's plan to file a new lawsuit, Sulaiman said that they have not received any new divorce petition from Virgoun. "Until now, it has not been submitted. If they want to submit a new petition, they can do so. There is no time limit. Later (if it happens), it will be registered as a new case. Because the previous case is considered final and has been completed," he said.

2. Withdrawal of Lawsuit

Just for information, Virgoun's reason for withdrawing the divorce petition is to improve the contents of the lawsuit. Virgoun wants to fully obtain hadhanah or custody of his three children.

"We want to submit a new lawsuit so that the guardianship rights of all the children fall to our client," said Sandy Arifin, Virgoun's lawyer, on Wednesday (17/5/2023).

Initially, according to Sandy Arifin, his client and Inara Rusli had agreed to jointly care for their children. However, over time, Virgoun wanted to fully obtain custody of his three children.

"Initially, it was agreed that the children would be cared for together. But after discussing it again, our client wants full custody," said Sandy Arifin.
