Youngest Child of Mona Ratuliu Suffers from Atopic Dermatitis, Cheeks Need to be Compressed with Saltwater Solution

Kapanlagi.com - Last May, Mona Ratuliu was blessed with a baby girl. The beautiful little one was named Numa. Her days were so cheerful until she was struck with Atopic Dermatitis. This was recently revealed on Mona's Instagram.

The disease caused Numa's cheeks to become red. Not staying idle, Mona then compressed the baby's cheeks with saltwater. She revealed this on Instagram on Wednesday (2/9).

1. Saltwater Solution

"Don't be scared, this is just Numa being compressed with NaCl or saltwater solution. But to ensure sterility, because baby's skin is sensitive, the solution was bought at the pharmacy in the form of an infusion, you know," wrote the 38-year-old woman.

2. Doctor's Recommendation

He didn't take that step lightly. There is a dermatologist who recommended it. "This is a recommendation from a dermatologist because the open wound on Numa's cheek is getting wider. Please pray for a speedy recovery," added the wife of Indra Brasco.

3. Sympathy for Mothers

Furthermore, Mona feels sorry for mothers who still believe in myths when their children suffer from Atopic Dermatitis.

"Actually, I feel sorry for mothers whose children have Atopic Dermatitis like Numa and still believe in the myth that it's because of sharp breast milk on the skin," Mona wrote.

4. Getting Worse

Their decision to switch from breast milk to cow's milk only worsened the condition.

"In the end, because of this myth, many mothers are confused and stop giving breast milk to their children. And when they switched to cow's milk, the rash worsened because babies like this are generally allergic to cow's milk," she added.
