Some people responded to this flood problem casually, while others protested strongly, as shown by Yuanita Christiani. Through a post on her IG Story, Yuanita vented her anger, even though she is known as a very calm person.
"Being quiet since yesterday doesn't mean being calm. My heart has been annoyed and extremely disappointed," wrote Yuanita at the beginning of her venting.

Investigating further, Yuanita was angry because floodwater had entered her parents' house, which she had also once lived in. Despite living there for decades, Yuanita had never experienced flooding that reached inside the house.
"I'm not the type of person who enjoys conflicts or seeks problems. But this is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. This is the condition of my parents' house, the house that I have also lived in for over 20 years. My heart breaks seeing it. During our time living here, the floodwater has NEVER entered the house even once. Suddenly, it reaches this high? And we're supposed to stay silent, not allowed to react?" the 33-year-old woman continued.

The figure most highlighted in relation to this flood incident is Anies Baswedan, who is none other than the Governor of Jakarta. Some people believe that Anies has not been able to work well, but there are also many who defend him. Yuanita also voiced her criticism.
"This is not a matter of fate, politics, or religion. I am someone who highly respects differences and knows tolerance, but we are talking about the FACTS and EVIDENCE that are visible right in front of our eyes. If this could have been anticipated all this time, why not now? Please, those who feel they have been chosen and trusted to carry out their duties, do them WELL and CORRECTLY," Yuanita concluded.
