Zara Decides to Remove Hijab, Ridwan Kamil's Wife: I Will Still Accompany & Pray

Of course, this has caused pros and cons as well as questions from netizens. Regarding this matter, Ridwan Kamil's wife, Atalia Praratya, finally spoke up.

When met in the Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Friday (5/4), Atalia said that she was quite surprised by her daughter's decision. Because of this, her husband decided to follow their daughter who is currently studying in England.

"So, I actually just ask for prayers from everyone. This surprised me, Kang Emil (Ridwan Kamil) was also surprised, and Alhamdulillah because of this, Kang Emil went there," said Atalia Praratya.

1. Teenage Turmoil

Atalia assesses that this may be due to Zara's teenage turmoil. Moreover, as a mother, Atalia Praratya always accompanies and witnesses the growth process of her daughter.

"Maybe she's in her teenage years, feeling confused. But whatever it is, this is someone's life journey that I have been supporting every step of the way, so we know that everyone experiences different traumas, and my duty is to gently guide and pray for her," she said.

In addition, regarding Zara's changes, Atalia stated that her daughter has never shared anything about her life abroad. Therefore, she admitted that she does not know what prompted Zara to remove her hijab.

"Everything is fine. There are no problems. Maybe this is more related to the past. So, I still don't know because I haven't met Zara yet, but the main point is that this is someone's life journey," she explained.

"I see the good in her because I have taught her about religion to the best of my ability, starting from playgroup, kindergarten, elementary school, and middle school, all of which have a religious background. So, she knows how to fast properly, perform prayers, she knows everything. But I feel that she is someone who can take care of herself exceptionally well, but maybe she also has to search for her true identity. The only thing I can do is accompany her and pray for her," she concluded.
