Zaskia Adya Mecca's Child Becomes a Witness in the Assault Case Against a TNI Member, Gives a Message to Answer Honestly

KM, the daughter of Zaskia Adya Mecca and Hanung Bramantyo, attended the Military Court II-08 East Jakarta as a key witness in the assault case on Wednesday (April 15, 2026). As a mother, Zaskia paid special attention to her child's mental readiness before entering the courtroom.

The case began from an incident on Jalan Ampera in September 2025, where Zaskia's staff was beaten by a rogue TNI member over a traffic issue. K, who was at the scene, also had to provide her testimony in front of the judge.

"Yes, so I just told her, I don’t want to brief her on anything about today’s answers. Earlier she said 'Bia, what will I be asked?', I don’t want to brief her on anything," said Zaskia Adya Mecca when met by Kapanlagi at Military Court II-08 East Jakarta, Wednesday (April 15, 2026).

Zaskia emphasizes the importance of honesty in giving testimony. She does not want her daughter to exaggerate or downplay the facts, as this concerns justice for both the suspect and the victim.

"But I said earlier, answer as honestly as possible. If you exaggerate, what does that make you towards the suspect? If you add things, it will be unjust to the suspect. If you downplay things, it will be unfair. So I ask her to say what she truly feels," she asserted.

K, who appeared calm beside her mother, also confirmed that she is ready to provide a statement based on the facts. She firmly holds onto her mother's message not to lie in court.

"To be completely honest. Don't add anything and don't take anything away," he said.

This trial is being held behind closed doors considering that the witness presented is still a minor. Zaskia also promised to provide further updates after the examination process is completed by the panel of judges.

"And they said it's closed because of the children, so the trial is private. Later I will tell you the results, okay," she concluded.

The incident of the assault is very concerning because Faisal, the staff member, claimed he was stomped on the neck and waist and his helmet was damaged by the perpetrator. Zaskia hopes that through her daughter's testimony, justice can be served for her employee who became a victim.
