"We used to be paid IDR 250 million. We were even contracted for five years by the richest regent. But after that, singers from talent search shows started to refuse to pay us that much," said Tessa Mariska when met in the Kebayoran Lama area, South Jakarta, Thursday (13/7).

"I've been focusing on my family and have been assigned to the Indonesian Parliament since 2009 until now, so maybe I can't do shows outside the city anymore because I have prioritized my duties," she continued.

Furthermore, when asked further, Tessa Mariska admitted that she had no idea that her action of singing the lyrics 'You Brik My Hart Brik My Haf' would go viral.

Because this 45-year-old woman admitted that she did not see the interview recording when commenting on Putri.

"I didn't expect it, it was just a reaction interview, I had a meeting and then the interview, turns out the (interview video) wasn't edited. I never want to watch it during the interview because I'm embarrassed," she said.

Tessa is not ashamed to admit that she is not good at singing English songs.

Tessa also explained that she finds it difficult to sing lyrics because she has braces on her teeth. 

"I find it difficult to sing English songs because I have braces on the inside. So if it's English, it's complicated," she said.
