Who doesn't know Demy Hardi, the dangdut singer from Banyuwangi who is also affectionately called Demy Yoker. Starting his career in 2010, his name is increasingly known among dangdut enthusiasts in the country. Demy is one of the singers who consistently uses his regional language.

Having been in the industry for a long time, apparently he is quite familiar with the ups and downs of life. Starting his career by singing from bus to bus, Demy finally got the chance to perform abroad in 2014.

As known, Demy started his career from the bottom as a street musician. Although at that time he was still at the bottom, he expressed that it was actually an unforgettable moment for him.

“When I was still a street musician on buses or door to door, it was full of the most beautiful memories for me until now,” he said when asked about the most memorable moment for Demy.

Behind his achievements in the Indonesian music industry, it turns out that Demy has no specific intention to become a singer. In fact, he feels more comfortable behind the scenes.

“If I tell the story of how I started singing, actually I had no intention at all because I feel more comfortable behind the scenes,” said Demy.

Having a tough appearance doesn't automatically make him confident when performing. Demy revealed that he is actually quite shy.

"My first honor to sing at a wedding, if I remember correctly, was only Rp150,000 for singing 1 or 2 songs because I was aware that I was not a singer at that time and also felt embarrassed," he said.

Starting a singing career on a bus, finally in 2014 Demy got a chance to perform overseas, Taiwan is a memorable country for him.

"The first time I sang abroad was in Taiwan in 2014, if I'm not mistaken. Maybe if you look at that time in Taiwan, it seems like they miss their homeland. That's why they invited me to satisfy their longing and that's the manifestation of solidarity of Indonesian migrant workers there," he continued.

Fans for him are important figures behind every work that is produced, and the reason why he still exists until now. One of the memorable moments with his fans was in Bali.

The lasting impression in my memory was when I performed in Bali and there were already young fans, possibly still in kindergarten. They imitated everything from the style I wore to my dance moves,
