Dewi Perssik or Depe has become one of the top dangdut singers in the country. Known for her chainsaw dance in 2005, this woman born in Jember has had a skyrocketing career. Now Dewi is trusted as one of the Judges in the Indonesian Dangdut League (LIDA).

In a talk show aired by the Youtube account TRANS7 OFFICIAL, it was revealed that initially Dewi Perssik was not approved by her father to become an artist.
When she arrived in Jakarta, Depe was not given any pocket money by her parents. As capital, she used money from her shoe trading business.
With Rp 750 thousand as capital, Depe dared to migrate to Jakarta from Jember. In Jakarta, she lived in a boarding house.
Initially, Depe was assisted by a manager named Pak Yogi. It was Pak Yogi who proposed changing her stage name from Dewi Murya Agung to Dewi Perssik.
To meet her needs, she even busked on the streets of Jakarta. Although the results were only a little, she believed that was the only way she could eat.
Because of irregular eating, Depe fell ill. This news was heard by her parents. Because of this, they slowly wanted to help Dewi Persik.
She has a principle of not burdening her parents until now. Whether it's about wealth or controversial news that she keeps to herself.
