8 Portraits of Rizky Billar Making Lesti Kejora Cry When Reading the Lyrics of the Song 'Menyerah' for the First Time

When met in the Pejaten area, South Jakarta some time ago. Rizky Billar revealed that this was the first time producing a song with minimal time. "I'm really happy to be invited here because if not, I wouldn't be able to make an inspirational song like this," said Rizky Billar.

Because he had difficulty writing the lyrics, Rizky Billar admitted to staying up all night. However, he was finally able to finish the song and the result was as he hoped.

"The lyrics are quite complex, I had difficulty continuing to the next lyrics. I stayed up until H-1 (deadline) looking for the next sentence until finally at 5 am I came up with it and it went smoothly. Suddenly it only took an hour. Where did the inspiration come from, honestly, what I experienced but surely you have also experienced feeling at the lowest point," said Rizky Billar.

Even the song created by Rizky Billar successfully made Lesti Kejora cry when she first read the lyrics. Rizky Billar feels grateful because his wife always supports and appreciates all of his works. 

“I just learned to become a composer and I'm grateful to have a singer by my side. As soon as she heard the demo, she immediately cried. It was actually Lesti who was more touched. She was the first person who was so enthusiastic and touched like that. She really supports me a lot, personally I feel that if I'm not with her, I would never be able to make a song,” he expressed. 

Lesti Kejora admitted that when she first read the lyrics, tears flowed instantly because she felt deeply touched. She hopes that this song can be accepted by the whole society. 

"So before the demo, I was told to sing and read the lyrics with kakak (Billar). At 9 in the morning, he woke me up and said 'darling, the song is ready', when I read the lyrics, tears started flowing, it's so good. Hopefully, the song will be accepted by the Indonesian people," said Lesti Kejora.

"Although the target is for breastfeeding mothers, but this song is created by kak Billar not only for mothers but for everyone. The lowest point is not only as a mother. But also for people who are broken," she continued.
