Lala Widy is a dangdut singer who started her singing career at the age of 4th grade. She shared her story with the KapanLagicom team about her career journey. Where she was forced to become the backbone of the family since she was in junior high school.

Lala's struggle didn't stop there. She had experienced the sweetness of marriage but it didn't last long. The boat of her marriage ended in divorce.

When asked about her early career, Lala Widy explained in detail. "Since 4th grade, I have been singing. (Background) My family is considered well-off. There was only a moment when my father was ill," said the second child of three siblings when she was in Ancol, Jakarta some time ago.

"My father is a truck driver, he had an accident, then there were complications with his liver and diabetes. So I became the backbone. I was in 9th grade at that time," she continued.

Because her father was sick, she had to become the backbone of the family. Even though she was still in school at that time. So after singing, the next day she still had to go to school.

Lala had to sacrifice her achievements in school. "I used to always be in the top rankings. Because of that incident (father's accident), my ranking dropped, I was late for school every day. Well, what else could I do, because of the demands of life, at my age at that time, what else could I do for work?" Said the dangdut singer from Sidoarjo, East Java, born on February 3, 1995.

One year after high school, the older sister of singer Wawa Widi decided to get married. From that marriage, she was blessed with one child. Unfortunately, the marriage did not last long. Lala, who was the pillar of her family at that time, was afraid of living life after divorce.

"I used to be afraid, oh, how to live, especially with a child," she said. Her career as a singer started to improve when she joined the Monata Grup orchestra. Then she moved to the Palapa orchestra.

Her name started to be widely known when the Covid-19 pandemic hit and her fee as a singer increased. During the pandemic, Lala appeared frequently on YouTube. One of her most-watched content is her duet with Gerry Mahesa.

"When I joined the Monata orchestra, then the Palapa orchestra started to be known, and when I duet with Mas Gerry, a singer from East Java, many people started watching on YouTube. Automatically, my payment increased," she said. Currently, she can be considered financially stable.

"Alhamdulillah, everything is secured. I have already prepared for my child's future, and Alhamdulillah, my parents, siblings, and relatives are also safe," said the singer who also enjoys hosting. From Lala's story, we can understand that life revolves. Lala, who once experienced difficult times and became the backbone of her family until facing divorce, has now successfully risen.
