"As for me, I'm the type who easily moves on, if I'm hurt, especially if the wedding is canceled, why would I still hold on?", said the singer who will turn 22 years old next July.
That is Happy Asmara's answer when talking about her latest single titled "PHP (Almost Pre-Wedding)". Collaborating again with 3D Entertainment, Happy Asmara released her latest single through all music streaming applications and YouTube 3D Entertainment on July 1, 2021.
This song, composed by Nurbayan, tells the story of a couple who are preparing for their happy day, but in the midst of the preparations, the woman sees her future partner with another woman. The lyrics, which imply pain, are wrapped in Javanese dangdut koplo music. Happy Asmara, who is known for her Javanese dangdut songs, sounds very suitable for singing this sad song, but with slightly cheerful music.
"The recording process yesterday was really quick, so I was only given the song 4 hours before recording, and I memorized and learned it in just those 4 hours. The next day, we immediately shot the music video, so the total recording and shooting only took 2 days because we were also chasing time, my schedule was packed," explained Happy, who can release up to 5 singles in a month.
In the music video, it depicts a couple who were once happy but then had an argument in a cafe. The easily understandable lyrics combined with simple visuals can surely convey the message of the song.
Happy Asmara has been known for her works that often trend on YouTube. Although the song PHP (Almost Pre-Wedding) was created in a short time, Happy admitted that she was very enthusiastic about it and hopes that this song can be accepted and entertain those who have been left behind when they were about to get married.
