The singer, dubbed the queen of dangdut, also feels it's important to set a good example for her family, to avoid criticism and mockery. "What should the grandmother do? I have to contribute so that they are not criticized, mocked, Insya Allah," she said.
As a caring mother, Elvi admits that she always involves her children in every work-related decision. One of the things she pays the most attention to is how her children react to her appearances on screen.
"I feel saddest when my children are criticized. Yes, I always ask for my children's opinions. When I acted in a film, there were no kissing or hugging," she said.
According to Elvi, as a mother, she must consider the impact of every career decision on her children's social lives. "I'm afraid my children will be afraid of being praised by their friends at school. I really care about their feelings," she concluded.
