When met in the Kebon Sirih area, Central Jakarta, on Monday afternoon (8/1), Saipul Jamil revealed how his assistant was. He said that initially, the assistant applied for the job through Instagram.

At that time, the 43-year-old dangdut singer was selecting workers to become his assistant.

"So, she applied through Instagram, she basically told me that she was having a hard time and had just been laid off, and at that time I was also in the process of selecting employees," said Saipul Jamil.

2. Once Asked Directly

Saipul Jamil also explained that he did not immediately accept his assistant. However, during the process, he assessed that his assistant was very diligent, but at that time Saipul Jamil asked directly whether the assistant had ever consumed illegal substances.

"Before, I didn't immediately appoint her as my assistant, I observed her work first. She was diligent and hardworking, and I like people like that who don't need to be told to work. I asked her, 'Do you use drugs?' She replied, 'No, don't worry, sir. It's safe here, right? It's safe, sir, really," he said.

However, as time went on, Saipul Jamil began to suspect his assistant's behavior. And in the end, what was feared happened, the assistant was arrested by the police for a drug case.

"It was one month, two months, half a year, it turns out in the tenth month, before 10 he had started experimenting because he claimed to have only been consuming it for 3 months now," he explained.

"So every time I took him to his house, it turned out he would stop by first, to make a transaction, and this is his unlucky day," he added.
