Canceling Watching the 2026 WORLD CUP to Build a Villa in Bali, Rizky Billar: No Indonesia

"Because I just happened to spend a lot on building a villa in Bali, so we are slowing down for now. No, I'm just kidding, I'm just kidding," said Rizky Billar when met at the Mega concert D'Academy 7 World Cup Party, Emtek Studio, Daan Mogot, West Jakarta, Monday (15/6/2026).

The man born in Medan admitted that the main reason for canceling his departure is the cost of building the villa in Bali, which is quite draining on his finances. This housing investment is a big dream for Billar and Lesti Kejora that they have planned even before they officially married.

"For now, we are putting it on hold. One, the World Cup event itself is indeed somewhat conflicting with the DA schedule, which will take place around July," he said.

1. Busy Schedule Also Becomes a Reason

In addition to financial factors, a busy work schedule in the entertainment industry also becomes an obstacle for Billar to fly abroad. He feels he has professional responsibilities that must be completed on time in his homeland.

"So we decided not to go there. Especially since Indonesia is not one of the participants," he said.

Billar joked that his enthusiasm for watching live would be much greater if the Indonesian national team successfully reached the finals. For him, the presence of Garuda on the world stage is the main motivation for football supporters in the homeland.

"Initially, if Indonesia qualified for the World Cup, maybe we would make an effort to go. Now I am collecting this ball," he said.

Even though he is only monitoring from the screen, Billar remains enthusiastic about following the developments of the tournament held jointly by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. He feels the euphoria of this year's matches is still incredibly strong despite the distance.

"This event is interesting because why is the theme football? Because we are indeed feeling the excitement of the world football event, namely the World Cup, which is currently ongoing," he said.

"First, the World Cup event itself does clash a bit with the DA schedule. So we decided to cancel our plans to go there," he concluded.
