Dangdut Artists are Still Often Considered Cheap, Inul Daratista is Furious

However, there are still many people who consider dangdut music and its performers to be cheap. As one of the seniors in the dangdut world, Inul Daratista is angry when someone thinks of dangdut like that.

Not accepting dangdut being called cheap, Inul Daratista protested on her Instagram. The 41-year-old dangdut singer explained that dangdut can reach all layers of society. In fact, dangdut always participates in almost all events. 

"Dangdut weddings. Even luxury hotels now have dangdut music. Dangdut campaigns. Even circumcision ceremonies have dangdut. Almost 70% of Indonesian people enjoy dangdut," Inul Daratista wrote on her Instagram. 

2. Many Successful Dangdut Singers

Inul explained that dangdut has undergone many changes. It can be said that this music is now richer and more luxurious. Besides, it's not only pop singers who can achieve success, but there are also many successful dangdut singers.

"Not all dangdut singers are unsuccessful, even those who cry from birth have their own unique style. Because their parents really hope their children become dangdut singers because it's easy to earn money," Inul revealed.

"Without vocal training like me, in my opinion, dangdut is something very big that needs to be preserved. If there's something wrong, it should be corrected, not bullied or judged by others. Dangdut is rich," she concluded.
