Davina Duo Bunga Tries Acting in a Web Series Adapted from the Bestselling Novel on Wattpad

Kapanlagi.com - Singer Davina Celine is now starting to expand her wings into the acting world. The member of Duo Bunga has the opportunity to act alongside the beautiful actress Nada Sikkah in a web series titled Mencintaimu Dalam Diam (Loving You in Silence), which is adapted from a best-selling novel on Wattpad with the same title.

In the web series, Davina plays the role of an antagonist character. Although she is still new to the acting world, it turns out that the hope of becoming an actress has been kept by Davina for a long time.

"I'm excited. Basically, I like challenges, I like new things, so I really like acting," said Davina when met in Grogol, West Jakarta, on Monday (26/4/2021).

1. Initially Not Intending to Become a Singer

In fact, Davina had no intention of becoming a singer. But because of one thing and another, she made her debut in the entertainment world as a dangdut singer.

"Back then, I liked and wanted to be an acting artist because I used to participate in castings. As a singer, my voice is more towards pop. But I sang dangdut because I joined Persawi (artists' soccer club), as all the singers there are dangdut singers, so I chose that genre," she continued.

Davina's decision to venture into the acting world is fully supported by Ratna Pandita, her duet partner in Duo Bunga.

"Well, Davina is acting in soap operas, she models, she does everything, that's why I support her first film, Mencintai Dalam Diam (Loving You in Silence)," said Ratna.

2. Synopsis 'Mencintaimu Dalam Diam'

The web series Mencintaimu Dalam Diam tells the story of Arvino, a bad boy who struggles to win the heart of a pious woman named Aiza. Arvino is played by Haydar Ali, while Aiza is played by Nada Sikkah.

The web series Mencintaimu Dalam Diam by Lia Reza Vahlevi will soon be aired on May 14th on the genflix platform and sponsored by YL Jewellery. This web series will consist of 6 episodes and will be directed by Walmer Sitohang.

In the future, this web series will also be adapted into a film. However, there is currently no confirmed release date.
