Divorced from Valda, Reza Zakarya Admits His Love Journey is Similar to the Story of the Song 'Lautan Dusta'

Kapanlagi.com - Reza Zakarya has just released his latest single titled Lautan Dusta on November 9th. The song, written by Nanang Soewito, tells the story of a husband who feels betrayed by his wife and feels that the marriage he is in is full of deception.

"The meaning of the song Lautan Dusta is not just about dating, but also about marriage because it is about navigating the ship of marriage. Marriage promises, but in the middle of the journey, his partner, this girl, is fake and only cares about worldly matters. The marriage is full of deception and lies," said Reza Zakarya during a virtual interview on Monday (15/11).

The story in this song turns out to be very similar to what Reza Zakarya is experiencing now. As it is known, he has just officially divorced his wife Valda Alviana on September 14th.

However, the D'Academy singer denied that Lautan Dusta is his personal expression because the song already existed before he got married. But he admitted that the song is very relatable to his married life.

"But for Lautan Dusta, it was created long before the marriage process. Eza doesn't want to say that this is a song expressing his feelings. But if it is said to be relatable, it is very relatable because the songwriter created it without communicating with Eza, and it turns out the story is similar to what I am experiencing now," he explained.

1. The Song Has Been Around for a Long Time

Reza Zakarya explains that this song has been around since early 2020. However, due to the pandemic, the song could only be released now. He feels that this song is very suitable to be released at this time.

"I got this song in early 2020, long before Eza got married. The process of making it was delayed due to the pandemic, many studios were closed and it was only realized in early March 2021," said Reza Zakarya.

"Every artist has their own single release schedule. Originally, I wanted it to be released on September 14th when the (divorce) letter came out. Eza wanted to let the song speak for itself, listen to my song, and know how my story is reflected in this song, how Eza's story is poured out through this," he continued.

2. Shooting Video Clip Until Burnt

Reza Zakarya also shared the story of making his music video, which drained his energy and made his body burnt because he had to shoot in the middle of the sea during the daytime.

"Eza's body was completely burnt, really on a speed boat for more than two hours, just Eza and the sun. No protection whatsoever, the music video really drained the energy but it was fun. Thank God the result is good. Eza had to drive the speed boat himself, a new experience for Eza, the sacrifice was extraordinary," he said.

He also hopes that his latest song can be liked by many people and become a legendary song.

"Eza hopes that the song can be accepted by all layers of society, lovers of Indonesian dangdut music. Thank God it has received positive responses from friends. It can be sung by many people, become a legendary song, a song that is enjoyable to listen to, never dies," he concluded.
