Duo Singa Reveals Unpaid Incident of Performing in Muara Bungo

Duo Singa recently experienced an unpleasant incident. Invited by an event organizer to perform in Muara Bungo, the group did not receive the agreed payment. With the help of legal counsel, they reported the event organizer to the authorities. Duo Singa also shared the chronology of the incident. Curious?

"Now the issue is in the legal domain. We trust law enforcement to apprehend the perpetrators. They have committed fraud against my client," he said.

Meta herself explained that Duo Singa has suffered losses of up to hundreds of millions of rupiah. Their legal counsel, Pitra Ramadoni Nasution, also spoke up, explaining that his client has been deceived.

"After consulting with a lawyer, we finally agreed to resolve this issue legally. Because the event organizer has shown no intention to resolve this matter. If they had paid according to the contract after the show, there would be no problem," Meta continued.

Meta himself admitted to being very disappointed with the treatment from the event organizer. According to his explanation, Duo Singa only received a down payment of two million. The remaining fee, as agreed upon, has not been fulfilled until now. The group finally brought this issue to the legal realm.

"They throw responsibility by saying that the Regent's side will pay. After we went to the Regent's side, they threw it again, saying that another party, namely the Deperindag Kabupaten Bungo, will pay. When we went there, they also denied it. We feel like we're being ping-ponged," complained Meta.

Accepting the job offer, Duo Singa performed smoothly entertaining the audience in Muara Bungo. However, everything changed when Beriswan Basir Chaniago alias Iwan Chaniago EO ran away from responsibility.

"Initially we were asked to perform there. They could only pay us a down payment of Rp 2 million. The rest will be paid on the spot after the performance. Anyway, we were going there without suspicion with our assistant," said Meta Chamela, one of the members of Duo Singa.

When met at Epicentrum, Kuningan, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, on Thursday (29/11/2018), Duo Singa, accompanied by their legal counsel, spoke up about the incident of not being paid by the event organizer when invited to perform in Muara Bungo.
