Behind the harmony of Inul and Adam today, there is a long struggle that had to be endured. This was revealed by Inul herself on her Instagram on Thursday (13/4).
According to Inul, her relationship with Adam Suseno did not receive approval from their parents. They had to go through a backstreet. Adam's family background is very different from Inul's.
"My father cursed us, understandable since my father is a devout Muslim while his future son-in-law is a non-Muslim, and Chinese to boot," explained Inul.
"I worked day and night, sneaking around with Mas Adam's parents, even leaving his job just to accompany me singing, taking public transportation everywhere just the two of us," continued Inul.
Inul's father, who is a devout Muslim, was so embarrassed that he could only bow his head when going to the mosque. This was because his daughter is a Dangdut singer and his future son-in-law is a non-Muslim.
Inul and Adam are getting more serious, but the blessing from her father has not yet come. Inul tries to convince her father. She mentions how she is different from other singers and will definitely make her father proud in the future.
Unable to convince Inul, her father finally relents after being persuaded by Inul's uncle. "Yes, the wedding will continue after dad is persuaded by uncle," writes Inul.
"Compared to committing adultery, which is even more sinful, especially since dad is an imam at the mosque hehehe whether he likes it or not (he gives his blessing)," continued the dangdut singer who caused controversy at the beginning of her career.
Interestingly, after Adam officially married Inul and converted to Islam, he often went to the mosque with Inul's father and even became his favorite son-in-law.
"After getting married, we even went to the mosque together and became close. If we fight, I'm the one who gets scolded. (Adam) Became the favorite son-in-law until the end of his life," concludes Inul.
Their moments together have caught the attention of netizens, especially Labeeqa's beautiful face which is said to resemble her mother's.
Interestingly, Shandy Aulia demands that co-parenting be done together. She also wants David to be involved in their child's growth and development.
