Via Vallen and Chevra Yolandi have officially married on Friday morning (15/7/2022). After being declared husband and wife, they immediately went through Javanese traditional ceremonies including ranupada or commonly known as egg-stepping. Let's see the process!
The first procession in the Javanese traditional series is the kembar mayang during the temu manten. But there are two people carrying the janur bouquet accompanying Chevra.
After that, the janur bouquet is handed over to the women representing the bride's side.
Next, the couple undergoes the balangan gantal or betel leaf throwing ceremony. Its purpose is to throw love and affection.
The procession continued with Ranupada or stepping on eggs. Via was seen sitting in front of her husband gracefully.
After Chevra stepped on the eggs, Via poured water on her husband's feet using a dipper.
She performed this procession very carefully and was ready to become a wife.
After finishing, Via returned to her original position and appeared to be smiling happily.
Chevra then helped his wife stand up and they held hands. So sweet!
