Full Drama During the Making Process, Nia LIDA & Aldo BZ Successfully Release Latest Single 'TOKI TOKI (BUAYA)'

Kapanlagi.com - Nia LIDA, a sweet girl from Sidrap, South Sulawesi, became known through the talent search event Liga Dangdut Indonesia 2020 held by Indosiar. At that time, Nia was included in the TOP 6.

Having known dangdut since 9th grade, Nia has not only achieved in the field of singing, but also won several tilawah championships during elementary school and always became the overall champion during school.

Having an energetic demeanor, Nia is paired with Aldo BZ in her debut single. Aldo BZ is a remix song composer from Papua whose name skyrocketed through the Tiktok application due to his viral song. Although she immediately liked the song at the beginning, Nia's journey was not as smooth to release the single.

“There were so many unforgettable things during the making process of this song, one of which was after we recorded, suddenly all the equipment broke and the recording was lost, so we had to schedule a retake the next day. Yes, it was very sad but since Nia had fallen in love with the song, it was not difficult to gather the mood to sing this song again,” said Nia.

The song titled TOKI TOKI (BUAYA) was released under the auspices of the 3D Entertainment and STREAM Entertainment record label as artist management, on January 31, 2022 on YouTube 3D Entertainment exclusively and simultaneously played on all Digital Streaming Platforms (DSP), such as Apple Music, Spotify, Joox, Langit Musik, Resso, and YouTube Music, on February 7, 2022.

Meanwhile, a 60-second snippet of the song was previously released on Tiktok and received an extraordinary response, being used in over 400 videos within just 2 days.

2. Indonesian Lyrics in Papua Dialect

Although titled in the Papua language, which means Tipu Tipu (Crocodile), this song has Indonesian lyrics and is sung in the Papua dialect. "This is actually the first time I've sung a song in the Papua dialect, but because I fell in love with it at first listen, I immediately felt the chemistry," said Nia.

“I'm also really happy when Nia sings this song because during the recording, she really enjoys singing it and she looks so happy singing this song, without any difficulties or obstacles. Hopefully, through Nia, songs in the Papua dialect will become more recognized,” explained Aldo BZ.

"Apart from recording, my debut single also faced incredible challenges. On the day of the shoot, it happened to be in Bandung, and I forgot my dance costume and apartment key. So, I had to break into my room and asked my cousin from Jakarta to bring them to Bandung," Nia explained.

"What makes me nervous is that we have to chase the shooting location time, it's really rushed. I don't care if the room door is left unlocked. But I'm really satisfied with the results, from the recording to the music video," Nia concluded.
