Happy Asmara Collaborates with Brawijaya University to Develop Cosmetic Business

Happy Rismanda Hendranata, the full name owner, through PT. Ghania Berkah Ashiya, collaborates with Brawijaya University to sign an MoU at the Rectorate Building on Monday (3/6/2024).

This memorandum of understanding was signed by the CEO of PT Ghaniya Berkah Ashiya, Arindi E, and the Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, Brawijaya University, Prof. Dr. Unti Ludigdo, S.E., M.Si., Ak.

According to Happy Asmara, this signing marks the beginning of collaboration with Brawijaya University. It will expand to other fields in the future.

"This is the beginning of collaboration, which may continue and extend to other fields", said Happy Asmara in a written statement on Tuesday (4/5).

Happy also said that previously he had several businesses that failed to develop. Because at that time, he felt that he lacked and had not yet obtained sufficient access to input from experts from Brawijaya University.

"Collaboration with UB is something great and valuable according to Happy," he added.

Happy Asmara, as Commissioner of PT. Ghania Berkah Ashiya, has established cooperation with UB for skincare and body care businesses. In addition, in the near future, they will develop health drinks, drinks for skin health, diet companion drinks, and several cosmetic products, and hope to expand to other products to introduce them to the wider community.

Later, these products will come from UB's patented products, from research conducted by eminent professors ready for commercialization. These products will be available in the domestic cosmetics market.

2. Innovation Potential

Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, Prof. Dr. Unti Ludigdo, S.E., M.Si., Ak. explained that UB has a lot of innovation potential.

"Brawijaya University has a lot of innovations, and these innovations also have patents. Among the innovations produced are in the field of food and beverages and the potential to become medicinal ingredients. The issue that can be understood is how these innovation products can be optimally utilized by the community," he explained.

3. Collaborating with the Faculty of Agricultural Technology

In addition to signing an MoU with the Vice Rector, PT Ghaniya Berkah Ashiya also collaborated with the Faculty of Agricultural Technology. This collaboration was well received by the Dean of FTP.

In addition to the signing of the collaboration, Happy Asmara and the PT Ghaniya Berkah Ashiya team also visited the UB Merch location, the Directorate of Science and Technology Innovation (DIKST) office, PT Brawijaya Multi Usaha, and several laboratory locations in the Faculty of Agricultural Technology.

"We hope that the initial step through the signing of this collaboration can truly be followed up and continued in concrete actions for synergistic collaboration to produce something beneficial for the community," concluded Unti.
