Head of KUA Affirms that Zaskia Gotik and Sirajuddin Mahmud are Not in a Secret Marriage

Kapanlagi.com - Zaskia Gotik has held her wedding with Sirajuddin Mahmud on Wednesday (22/4) ago. The marriage has been legally recognized by religion.

Hisbulatif as the Head of KUA Karang Bahagia, Cikarang, West Java, stated that the wedding ceremony took place privately. The wedding was only attended by close family members.

Furthermore, Hisbulatif as the Head of KUA also mentioned that the wedding ceremony at KUA will be held at the end of May. This is due to the new regulation of social distancing amid the corona outbreak.

"Yes, it's true, religiously, on the 22nd (April) (the wedding took place). But for the registration, if the requirements are complete, it can be done now. But the wedding ceremony at the office will be at the end of May. The earliest on May 30 or early June," said Hisbulatif, Head of KUA Karang Bahagia, Cikarang when contacted by phone on Friday (24/4/2020).

1. Zaskia's Father Married

Hisbulatif also stated that the marriage was not attended by an officiant. This is because Zaskia's father acted as the officiant at that time.

"Yes, I have reminded them, the important thing is not to exceed 60 days. So if everything is complete, just register it. If it exceeds 60 days, it will be considered a secret marriage, and it needs to be validated through a marriage confirmation in court," answered the head of the Office of Religious Affairs.

2. Not a Secret Marriage

Furthermore, Hisbulatif also emphasized that it is not a problem if Zaskia and Sirajuddin are married by their parents. As long as it is not more than 60 days, as it will be considered secret. The Head of the Office of Religious Affairs reiterated that their marriage is not a secret marriage.

"It's not a secret, if it exceeds 60 days, it is considered a secret marriage. If it is not officially recognized, it will be a loss," answered Hisbulatif.
