KDI 2021 Returns, Indonesian Dangdut Contest Ready to Launch Future Dangdut Stars

Kapanlagi.com - In 2020, MNCTV presented the Indonesian Dangdut Contest (KDI). The dangdut talent search event was the first to be held in the midst of a pandemic, albeit with very strict health protocols.

Following the success of its predecessor, the KDI 2021 event is now ready to be held. Auditions were conducted online with more than 5,000 participants joining. From the rigorous selection process, 12 potential stars were chosen to meet directly with top dangdut artists as judges in Jakarta.

KDI 2021 is ready to entertain viewers at home starting from November 8, 2021. Like its predecessor, various exciting surprises are guaranteed to make a comeback! Of course, with the strength of the quality judges and contestants, KDI 2021 promises interesting and dramatic episodes every week.

According to MNCTV Managing Director Noersing, who is also the Production Director of 3 TV & Digital, KDI 2021 will be better and more interesting to entertain loyal MNCTV viewers. Its main mission is, of course, to advance dangdut music and also find new future stars.

"KDI is the first and largest dangdut talent search event in Indonesia, and now KDI 2021 is back with a newer and more stunning appearance, surely with very strict health protocols. MNCTV has been presenting KDI since 2004 and has consistently been searching for future dangdut talents. This is evidence that MNCTV is always committed and consistent to the development and progress of the dangdut music industry of the homeland, and with KDI 2021, we are ready to give birth to future dangdut stars," said Noersing.

The judges for the KDI 2021 contest round will be Ivan Gunawan, Zaskia Gotik, Ayu Ting-Ting, Cakra Khan, Denny Caknan, and Iis Dahlia, and Pasha Ungu, Iyeth Bustami, and Danang will also be present as supporting judges. They are all big and trusted names in the music and entertainment industry of the homeland. In addition, Indra Herlambang, Vega Darwanti, and Anwar will guide KDI 2021.

Before entering the contest round, which will take place in 2 weeks, KDI 2021 will be grandly opened by 'Road to KDI 2021' featuring a series of famous dangdut artists and musicians such as Dangdut King Rhoma Irama & Soneta, Hetty Koes Endang, Zaskia Gotik, Iis Dahlia, Pasha Ungu, Cakra Khan, Ndarboy Genk, Manshur Angklung, Wina KDI, Wahid KDI, Risa KDI, Gitalia KDI, Aiman KDI, and Haviz KDI. The event will be even more lively with hosts Indra Herlambang, Vega Darwanti, and Anwar Sanjaya.

The program 'Road to KDI 2021' will be broadcast live on Monday (25/10) at 21.00 WIB. After the Road to KDI 2021 concert as the opening event, viewers will enjoy the KDI 2021 program every week starting from Ngantri KDI (Monday and Tuesday, 1-2 November 2021), and Kontes KDI (8 November 2021).
