Lena Permatasari Turns to Entrepreneurship to Survive During Covid-19 Pandemic

Kapanlagi.com - Unable to perform during the Covid-19 pandemic, dangdut singer Lena Permatasari, or affectionately known as Balena, had to think outside the box to survive.

Opening a business at that time, Balena said, was one of the most feasible ways to continue earning income.

"This pandemic has taught Balena many new lessons. Because there are no singing performances, Balena thought about how to do business so that she could still eat," said Balena in Jakarta, Thursday (30/6/2022).

1. Opening a Cafe

One of the businesses she pursued was opening a cafe. She partnered with Panpay Holdings, a company from neighboring Malaysia that has the franchise brands 020 SmartStore and 020 Cafe.

Now, her business has grown. Balena has even been made the brand ambassador for the company.

2. A Good Opportunity

As a brand ambassador, Balena acknowledged that this was a good opportunity for her to develop her career in Malaysia.

"Currently, my work in Malaysia is not related to singing. Maybe in the future, when there are performances there, an opportunity will open up," she said.

In order to be grateful for the blessings received, the singer of the song Menangis Untukku together with the management of PT Panpay held a charity event for orphans at the Taman Cahaya Mosque in Kedoya, West Jakarta.

During the event, Balena revealed that PT Panpay opened opportunities for the Indonesian community to become business partners in order to develop the economy of the society.

4. Noble Activities

"This is a noble activity in building the economy affected by the pandemic. Hopefully everything goes smoothly, amen," said the artist who is under the Nagaswara music label.

"We want to build a core business in the world of network marketing where anyone can run this business. We have two concepts, the first is like multi-level marketing and the second is mini market franchise," said Datuk Azizi Ali, Chief Marketing of Panpay.
