Lesti Cries Remembering Someone After Singing ST12's Song Titled 'Saat Terakhir'

On this occasion, Lesti singing the song 'Saat Terakhir' is one of the 2000s Projects by Joox, a collaboration between Joox and Trinity Optima Production, where Lesti is one of the selected dangdut singers.

Lesti chose the song 'Saat Terakhir' by ST12 because she likes it. On the other hand, ST12's songs were popular in the 2000s.

“I love all of ST12's songs, I used to have their album and always listened to it, so I know almost all of their songs and I'm very happy to be part of this 2000s Project by Joox”, said Lesti.

1. Expression of Sadness

In addition, Lesti also chose a song composed by Charly Van Houten as an expression of sadness because she was left by someone she loved. This also reminded Lesti of that person.

“When we are left by someone we love, it's definitely very sad. My biggest loss was when my uyut (grandfather) left. When uyut was sick, uyut wanted to meet me but I couldn't, until uyut fell into a coma. Uyut said he wanted to meet me and coincidentally I could go home, I was very excited at that time, but on the way home, uyut was no longer there,” said the Winner of Dangdut Academy 1 while shedding tears.

When she sang the song while remembering the experience of being left, Lesti deeply felt the sadness when singing the song she chose, which is 'Saat Terakhir' (The Last Moment).

“The lyrics and the meaning of this song are very touching, it makes me feel the sadness of being left again, like what I have experienced before, so when recording this song... I cried, then I was asked to take a break, I let out my tears, when I calmed down and let go, I sang again,” said Lesti.

2. Given a Dangdut Touch

Different from the original song, the song 'Saat Terakhir' sung by Lesti is given a natural dangdut touch to make all listeners even more touched and moved.

“In this song, we added dangdut touches on the drums and flute, for the flute take, it was done virtually live, coincidentally the flute player was in Kalimantan and we wanted the original flute, so the recording was done in a different city. All the other instruments were in Jakarta, only the flute was outside the city, but everything went smoothly, everything was perfect,” explained Simhala Avadana, the A&R team of Trinity Optima Production.

3. Hoping to Be Conveyed

By doing so, Lesti hopes that the song she sings can be conveyed to the public with a new arrangement and convey a deep message.

The song 'Saat Terakhir' was exclusively released on Joox in the 2000s Project on September 24, 2020. Following that, the listeners will also be treated visually with the release of a lyric video on September 28, 2020, on the 3D Entertainment Youtube Channel, as a sub-label of Trinity Optima Production.
