Lia Ladysta Appointed as a Suspect in Syahrini's Report on Defamation

Kapanlagi.com - Dangdut singer, Lia Ladysta has officially been appointed as a suspect in the defamation case reported by Syahrini in March 2019. This was revealed from a post by the lambe_turah account on Instagram.

The account uploaded a letter of determination issued by the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, appointing Lia Ladysta as a suspect in the defamation case.

"Appointing Lia Ladysta as a SUSPECT in the alleged criminal act of intentionally attacking someone's honor or good name by accusing them of something," the letter stated.

1. Established Since August

The determination of Lia Ladysta as a suspect is based on careful consideration by the police investigators. And the determination letter has been approved in August 2020.

Meaning, this former member of Trio Macan has gone from being a witness to a suspect since last August. Previously, in June 2020, Lia was called by the police to testify.

Furthermore, Lia expressed her intention to meet Syahrini after being examined by the police. 

2. 2019 Case

This case started when Lia Ladysta stated that Syahrini had a special closeness with a person referred to as "Pak Haji". At that time, Lia Ladysta was a guest on a talk show on a television station aired on March 14, 2019.

For her actions, Lia Ladysta is threatened to be charged under Article 27 Paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 45 Paragraph (3) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 19 Year 2016 concerning amendments to Law Number 11 Year 2008 concerning Electronic Information and Transactions and/or Article 310 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 311 of the Criminal Code, regarding defamation and/or slander through electronic media.
