LIDA 2021 Victory Concert, Doctor Iqhbal from West Sumatra Successfully Became the Champion

Kapanlagi.com - The biggest dangdut competition in Indonesia, Liga Dangdut Indonesia (LIDA) 2021, has produced a new champion. In the victory concert held on Sunday (22/8/2021), Rahmadonal M Iqhbal, representing West Sumatra, successfully became the champion 1 out of his 2 competitors, namely Sulis (West Nusa Tenggara) and Ratna (South Kalimantan). 

In last night's event, Iqhbal's performance with Slank Band successfully amazed the judges and the audience. Singing the song "Virus," even though the genre is very different, Iqhbal was able to collaborate his distinctive vocal style with Slank's music style. 

Iqhbal's performance with Slank also succeeded in making the entire studio 5 of Indosiar sing along. And all five judges agreed to give Iqhbal a standing ovation for the performance presented by the young doctor.

On the other hand, Sulis and Ratna's performances were also outstanding. Sulis, who sang the song "Ku Tak Bisa," also captivated the judges with her melodious voice. The same goes for Ratna, who sang the song "Terlalu Manis," successfully amazed the judges and the entire studio. 

Nevertheless, among the three performers, Iqhbal managed to be the best. And because of his performance, Iqhbal was awarded a score of 35.22% and crowned as the Champion 1 of LIDA 2021. Followed by Sulis (West Nusa Tenggara) with 32.97% as the 2nd Champion and Ratna (South Kalimantan) as the 3rd Champion with a score of 31.81%. 

1. What It Feels Like to Be a Champion

Emerging as the champion of LIDA 2021, Iqhbal himself apparently did not expect it. When met by the KapanLagi.com team after the Victory Concert of LIDA 2021 last night, this representative from West Sumatra admitted that he never imagined himself becoming a champion.

"It was never in Iqhbal's mind before. Because Iqhbal participated in this competition sincerely, with pure intentions, because the one fighting here is not just Iqhbal alone. Iqhbal is with Iqhbal's supporters. So, whatever the result, Iqhbal is very grateful," said Iqbal. 

2. The First Thing to Do

Having successfully become the champion, the first thing Iqhbal wants to do is to make his parents happy. In addition, he will also continue his internship program to become a doctor. As known, besides being a singer, Iqhbal himself is a doctor. 

"The first thing Iqhbal does, first of all, is to be grateful. And Iqhbal wants to help both parents, because Iqhbal has a goal regarding family matters that must be fulfilled. So Iqhbal has to fulfill his promise to his parents," said Iqhbal. 

"And also Iqhbal has a responsibility that Iqhbal must fulfill related to Iqhbal's doctor internship. So Iqhbal has to fulfill that first," he concluded.
