Making Netizens Emotional Again, Rara and Gunawan LIDA Release New Duet Single

Kapanlagi.com - Rara LIDA is known earlier in the music industry, even some musicians wanted to collaborate with Rara. Rara's career began when she became the Runner-up of Liga Dangdut Indonesia 2018, while Gunawan is also the runner-up of Liga Dangdut Indonesia 2020. They were brought together in a talent search event held by Indosiar.
 
Their closeness has made netizens admire this couple from Palembang (Rara) and North Maluku (Gunawan), resulting in the formation of a fanbase called GUNARA Lovers, a combination of Gunawan and Rara's names.

Being paired as a duet couple several times, surely having a joint single is their desire. "My first reaction when I was given this song, I was really happy and this is indeed one of my wishes, I want to have a duet single with Gunawan this year," explained Rara.

Gunawan also expressed his feelings, "I'm actually very touched, sad, touched with emotion because I've always dreamed of having a single, and suddenly I was given this duet single, I'm very happy and touched," he added.

Under the management of 3D Entertainment and Stream Management, Rara and Gunawan released a duet song titled Kala Cinta Menghampiri Jiwa (When Love Approaches the Soul) through digital streaming platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, Joox, Langit Musik, Youtube Music, and Resso on October 12, 2021.

On the same day, the music video for Kala Cinta Menghampiri Jiwa was released on YouTube by 3D Entertainment. It had already been released on Tiktok a week earlier, and a snippet of the song Kala Cinta Menghampiri Jiwa with the hashtag #cintagunara received a very positive response, reaching over 15 million views in just a few days.

2. Thorough Preparation

This love-themed song is created by the famous dangdut musician, Adibal Sahrul, and wrapped in the classical dangdut music composed by Team Adibal Music Production. For the first time, Rara and Gunawan performed this classical dangdut genre.  

“Gunawan and I listened to this song before recording it because it's a classical dangdut, so we learned a lot about the vocal ornaments with the guidance of Kak Adibal. We want to deliver this song as best as we can,” said Rara.
 
The music video directed by Ryan Wiedaryanto successfully made Gunara Lovers emotional together. In less than 1 day, the music video has been watched more than 300,000 times.
