Mother Ipah Saripah Cries Just Watching Rizki DA and Nadya's Wedding on TV, No Relationship Since 2015

Ipah vented on Facebook because she was not invited to Nadya's wedding. Her venting post went viral as it was uploaded by gossip accounts on Instagram. Ipah herself vented on social media because she felt hurt by her daughter.

"I didn't do this to go viral, I'm like this because I'm hurt. I am Nadya's mother, even though I didn't raise her but I gave birth to her. Then, during Nadya's wedding, I couldn't attend because I wasn't invited. I don't even know what the problem is. Maybe because I'm a poor mother, or she's ashamed of her biological mother who is not well-off. Maybe her appearance was not well-maintained. Asking for permission is not her, it's her adoptive mother who asked for permission, saying: 'Ask for prayers, Teteh, Neng Nadya is getting married'. That's it. But we're from the same village, not far away," said Ipah Saripah, when contacted via video call, Friday (14/8/2020).

1. Crying Just by Watching on TV

Ipah emphasizes once again that her intention is not to go viral. She only feels unappreciated as a biological mother and a close person.

"Yes, I am a mother, no matter what I am still her mother. I don't want to go viral, not for wealth or possessions, I just ask to be respected as a mother. Unless I have passed away, I live far away, but this is my village, why are other people busy, I just watch on TV. I cry. I used to keep it to myself. But when I saw on Youtube that Mama Iis Dahlia said there were irregularities in her marriage, as her mother, I want to clarify this as her mother," said Ipah.

2. Coming Even Without Being Invited

Ipah then told a story that Nadya is the fifth child of her third husband. She and Nadya's father divorced when Ipah was pregnant. When Nadya was still young, she was taken by Ipah's family. However, Ipah assured that her relationship with Nadya has always been harmonious.

"Our relationship has always been harmonious. We often meet. When she was appointed as a midwife, she came to my house, but I wasn't there because I was working. The last time we met was when she was getting married, I went to her adoptive mother's house. I came to her house even though I wasn't invited, I still showed my face. When I came, they hid her, I wasn't allowed to meet her adoptive mother," Ipah said.

3. Not Allowed to Meet

So, has Nadya been intentionally hidden by her adoptive family from her biological mother all this time? Ipah admitted that she didn't know. What is clear is that she has no intention of taking Nadya back.

"That's why I feel uncomfortable. If her adoptive mother wants it that way, why didn't you know anything from the beginning, don't look for the child. If that's the case, I realize my place. Besides, it's not with someone else, it's with family. I don't want to take her. I am a simple person, I have many children, I am grateful that someone takes care of (Nadya). The only agreement was for this child to know her mother, that's all," Ipah hoped.

4. Last Meeting 2015

Ipah confirms that the agreement in the past and now has not been fulfilled. Ipah also said that the last meeting with Nadya was in 2015 when her child asked for money to buy a mobile phone.

"I work as a maid in Bandung, my salary is one million rupiahs per month, and then Nadya came to ask for a mobile phone. Oh, where can I get the money for a mobile phone? Mobile phones are not cheap, you know? Besides, I have a small child. That amount of money is divided for buying food. That's all I have left after coming home. She said behind my back, she got angry. From 2015 until now, there has been no contact anymore. Only yesterday, when she was getting married, I went to her house," said Ipah.

5. Ipah's Message for Nadya

Lastly, Ipah gave a message to Nadya. Her message is almost the same as what she wrote on Facebook.

"Even though I am like this, she was born from me. There would be no Nadya if there was no mother. I apologize if Nadya still acknowledges me, how should she treat her mother, especially if she understands. A mother always prays for her children. I don't want her wealth, never for Allah's sake, I just want to be respected, treated politely, and addressed as a child to her mother, even if her mother doesn't take care of her. Even though her biological mother doesn't take care of her, she is still my flesh and blood," she concluded.
