Lesti Kejora or Lesti DA is one of the graduates of the Dangdut Academy talent search event whose name has been skyrocketing. With her golden voice and humble nature, Lesti has been loved by many dangdut fans since her debut in the first D'Academy (2014) and continues to this day.

Not many people know, this is the story of Lesti's struggle during the audition process of D'Academy season one. That event catapulted her name to the peak of popularity.

Who would have thought, Lesti's participation in D'Academy was initially just to gain experience. Lesti saw the announcement for registration and wanted to sign up.

At that time, she was only 13 years old. Lesti was still a naive village girl who indeed had a hobby of singing.

Seeing her child's desire, Endang Mulyana, Lesti's father, supported this. He took Lesti to pick up the form and audition in Bandung.

The struggle began. Lesti and her father rode a motorcycle from their home in southern Cianjur to Bandung.

Lesti even had to rent a costume because she only brought one outfit. That outfit was eventually bought and is still kept until now.

After staying in Bandung, the father was finally contacted by Indosiar the next morning at dawn. Lesti is entitled to advance to the next stage.

Who would have thought, Lesti successfully won the first season of D'Academy and now Lesti has become one of the judges in the same show in the following seasons.

Lesti has even been crowned as one of the icons of dangdut in the country. This is because Lesti is referred to as a golden voice and continues to be productive in her work.
