One of the most prestigious dangdut talent search competitions, Dangdut Academy 6 has finally concluded. In the grand final of Dangdut Academy 6, Owan (Boalemo) and Novia (Serang) competed for the champion title.
The competition between the two contestants was intense and fierce.
In the previous Grand Final round, the participants performed with a collaboration challenge with several top singers, Danang Pradana, Ical Majene, Selfi Yamma, and Dr. Iqhbal who performed a duet with Owan.
Meanwhile, Novia performed a duet with Evie Tamala along with Evi Masamba, Fildan Rahayu, Faul Gayo, and Melly Lee.
As a result, their performance received a standing ovation and confused the judges.
After that, both contestants performed solo, singing their respective chosen songs.
Owan performed the song 'Bunga Dahlia' by Mansyur S, while Novia performed the song 'Cintai Aku Karena Allah' by Novi Ayla.
Once again, both of their performances amazed the judges. After performing solo, Owan and Novia duet, but they still have to compete for the champion title through SMS polling results from their supporters.
Owan and Novia returned to perform at the Victory Concert collaborating with top dangdut singer, Lesti Kejora. They were also challenged to perform three songs.
In the end, Owan emerged as the champion of Dangdut Academy 6 by achieving the highest SMS poll with 53.27 percent.
Meanwhile, Novia had to settle for being the runner-up of Dangdut Academy 6 with a polling result of 46.73 percent. The third place was occupied by Madhani, a participant from Serdang Bedagai in the Top 3 round.
