The badminton match between husband and wife pair Rizky Billar/Lesti Kejora and Raffi Ahmad/Nagita Slavina (Gigi), became an interesting presentation in a celebrity sports tournament broadcasted live on SCTV from GOR UNJ, East Jakarta, Sunday (16/7/2023).
Rizky Billar/Lesti Kejora appeared to be in sync and had no difficulty facing Raffi Ahmad/Nagita Slavina. They even achieved an easy victory.
Rizky Billar/Lesti Kejora successfully defeated Raffi Ahmad/Nagita Slavina in straight sets with scores of 21-12 and 21-10.
According to Rizky Billar, the key to their victory over the Raffi/Gigi pair is the result of hard work during training.
"Fortunately, we were able to utilize the little preparation we had with continuous training and Alhamdulillah we were able to win against Aa (Raffi)," said Rizky Billar after the match.
Strategy and good teamwork were also determining factors. Billar and Lesti were able to take advantage of Nagita Slavina's weaknesses, who seemed less skilled in playing badminton.
"To be honest, kak Gigi usually plays tennis (on the field) and is not as skilled in badminton. That is one of the strategies on how we should exploit the weaknesses of Aa Raffi, which is kak Gigi," said Billar.
Although it was just an entertainment match, the victory made Billar and Lesti happy and proud.Â
"Alhamdulillah, I'm happy. Although it's meant to be a fun and happy game, you can say there's also a sense of pride, right?" said Lesti.
"There's a sense of pride, especially because Aa Raffi is famous for rarely losing. This is an achievement for us and proves that effort doesn't betray the result," added Rizky Billar.
