Ratu Meta Reports Ex-Husband to Police, 10-Year-Old Child Not Given Allowance

Kapanlagi.com - Ratu Meta's patience has reached its limit. After sending a summons letter to her ex-husband, William bin Ismail Nurlete, regarding the child allowance that has not been given for 10 years, Ratu Meta finally took the matter to the legal realm.

This is because William did not respond to the summons letter that was sent in January 2022. However, William did not respond well.

"We, as legal counsel, have sent two good summons letters, but he ignored and considered it trivial," said Feriyawansyah, Ratu Meta's legal counsel when met at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Jakarta.

1. Not Given Allowance Since Age 4

The report made by Ratu Meta is registered with Number: LP/B/2927/VI/2022/SPKT/POLDA METRO JAYA. According to Feriyawansyah, Ratu Meta's legal counsel, her client's child has never been given allowance since the age of 4, until now when the child is almost 10 years old.

"We report regarding the alleged crime of child neglect committed by the ex-husband with the initial W from 2012 until now," said Feriyawansyah.

2. Giving Child Allowance of IDR 3 Million

However, from the divorce court decision, the judge at that time ruled that William had to provide child support of Rp 3 million. This amount is in addition to education, health, insurance, and other expenses.

"The court decision that was made during the divorce included child support that had to be provided. But even that was not implemented," he explained.

Therefore, after the summons was ignored and there was no good faith, Ratu Meta decided to report her ex-husband with allegations of child neglect in accordance with Article 49 of the Indonesian Law No. 23 of 2004.
