Ready to Compete, Dreamse7en Girlband Embraces Dangdut Acculturation Genre

Kapanlagi.com - If usually girl bands are synonymous with pop songs, it's different with Dreamse7en. This new girl band, consisting of 7 beautiful, talented, and young women, carries the dangdut genre. They are Keiko, Bunga, Raisha, Nabila, Kayla, Putri, and Truly.

Foryoo Entertainment is the one who presents Dream Academy to train the members to be ready to compete in the Indonesian dangdut industry. Previously, the members went through auditions to select 7 teenagers who have complete packages, both in terms of voice and dance.

"Dreamse7en will present a new color that we call dangdut acculturation," said Adrian Zakhary, executive producer of Dreamse7en in a press release.

Starting their career, they have just released their debut single titled "Makan Tuh Cinta" which was released on Friday (24/12) yesterday, along with their showcase. This song is even more interesting because it is also infused with other genres such as EDM, rap, and traditional elements like sinden.

"This work invites all music lovers to explore every tone and sound with various genres but still breathe the original Indonesian dangdut and blend it with traditional culture," Adrian continued.

2. Campaign #DangdutMendunia

Along with the debut song, Dreamse7en also released the #DangdutMendunia campaign. As the title suggests, Dreamse7en and Foryoo Entertainment hope to bring dangdut to the international stage with a new format.

What's interesting is that through the #DangdutMendunia campaign, Dreamse7en will not only release works like songs and music videos, but also NFTs which are currently trending. Foryoo Entertainment is also collaborating with Trinity Optima Production in distributing the song. For those who are curious, you can listen to the song on digital music platforms.
