Rhoma Irama Wants to Give Souvenirs When He Retires as an Artist

Kapanlagi.com - King of dangdut Rhoma Irama and Soneta, on December 11, 2020 will celebrate their 50th anniversary. To commemorate it, the label has prepared a surprise in the form of a box set containing compilations of Rhoma and Soneta's works.

"We have prepared this four months ago without the knowledge of Pak Haji (Rhoma Irama) actually. Because on December 11, Soneta and Pak Haji's birthdays, it is only fitting that Soneta and Bang Haji should be given a special tribute," said Bobby Anugrah, producer of HP Music, as the label that oversees Soneta Group, at Studio Sontea in Depok, West Java, on Tuesday (8/12).

The 50th anniversary Soneta box set contains two gold vinyls, four music CDs, posters, a book about Soneta's career journey, and one Satria Bergitar t-shirt. In line with Soneta's age, the box set contains 50 songs, including Rhoma Irama and Soneta's hit songs such as "Begadang", "Judi", and even some other songs that have not been released.

1. Can Be Ordered Through Socmed

"Can be ordered through HP Music social media, (social media) Rhoma Irama and we will sell it for Rp 1,500,000. Preorders have been opened since yesterday and will be sold on the 11th. The number of songs in this box set is 50 songs according to Soneta's 50th anniversary. There are several famous songs that have never been released before," said Bobby.

Meanwhile, in the same occasion, Rhoma Irama was very grateful for the surprise of this box set. The 74-year-old musician also hopes that this box set can be a memento when he retires from the entertainment world.

2. Coinciding with Rhoma Irama's Birthday

"Music has a responsibility to God and humans because the power of music can change the character and behavior of Indonesia. So there is a responsibility to Allah and humans. Hopefully, this box set will be a memento when I am done in this world as an artist," said Rhoma Irama.

It is known that Soneta was founded by Haji Rhoma Irama on December 11, 1970, which also coincides with Rhoma Irama's birthdate on December 11, 1946. In 50 years of working, Rhoma Irama and Soneta have successfully become one of the most respected bands not only in Indonesia but also internationally.
