Routine Sacrifice Every Year, Nassar Wants to Perform Hajj Next Year

"The preparation for Eid al-Adha is the same as usual, we prepare mentally and prepare our hearts. Hopefully, next year we will have the blessings to go for Hajj. I really want to go for Hajj, especially since many of my artist friends are going for Hajj now. Hopefully, next year we will have the blessings of good health and long life, and Allah gives us the opportunity to go for Hajj," said Nassar.

Every year, Nassar also never misses the opportunity to perform the sacrificial worship. He always sets aside some of his blessings to participate in that meaningful moment. He mentioned this when he was met in the SCBD area of South Jakarta a while ago.

"Insya Allah, there will always be a sacrifice every year, may the blessings continue to increase from year to year, and there will be clear improvements every year, Insya Allah there will always be a sacrifice," he said.

1. The Value of Sacrifice

For Nassar, Eid al-Adha is not just about sacrifice, but also a reminder of the values of obedience and sincerity from the story of Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail that should be emulated.

"Eid al-Adha goes back to the story of Prophet Ibrahim, whom we emulate, and Prophet Ismail who was very obedient to his parents, obedient to his father so that whatever Allah commanded was followed. So it is a great example for us, children should be obedient to their parents," said Nassar.

2. Eid in Bandung?

Regarding the location of the Eid al-Adha prayer, Nassar admitted he is flexible. He is still considering whether to celebrate Eid al-Adha in Jakarta or Bandung, depending on the family situation at that time.

"I think I could be in Bandung or Jakarta, because for Eid al-Adha, it’s really up to the family. We will see what the situation is like later," he said.

As for traditions, Nassar does not have any specific habits. However, what is most important for him is to perform the sacrificial worship with full sincerity. "There is no special tradition, but what is clear is that the important thing is to sacrifice," he added.

3. The Preparation for Sacrifice is Complete

The preparation for the sacrifice has been completed. Nassar ensures that he has obtained the sacrificial animal and will distribute it to several mosques. He also mentioned several locations where his sacrificial animals will be distributed, both in his hometown and where he currently resides.

"Yes, I have already secured it, so there are several mosques; I always try to participate. (There are) in Bandung, then in Jakarta as well, basically in various places," he concluded.
