The news of Yus Yunus' passing was conveyed by singer Elvy Sukaesih through her Instagram account, @elvy_sukaesih, on Friday, February 25, 2022.
"Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rojiuun... Passed away today on Friday, February 25, 2022, at 00:52 in the morning. Senior singer Yus Yunus.
Umie Elvy and family are mourning and praying. May the late Yus Yunus have a good ending in the forgiveness, Mercy, and Blessings of Allah SWT, alfatiha," she wrote as the caption of her photo with the deceased.

Meanwhile, a chain message circulated among journalists that before his death, Yus Yunus was taken to a clinic near his house.
"Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rojiun. Our brother Yus Yunus has returned to the mercy of Allah just now at Srengseng Clinic. This news is from his daughter, Jenah. May the door of forgiveness be opened for him and may he be a resident of heaven, amen," wrote the message.
As of the time this news was published, Kapanlagi.com has not been able to contact Yus Yunus' family.
Yus Yunus was born on September 19, 1962. He was widely known for his songs Sapu Tangan Merah and Gadia Malaysia.
He, who hails from Madura, often released dangdut songs using the Madurese language.
