Said to be Similar, Turns Out Meli LIDA was Once Mistaken for Lesti's Sister

Kapanlagi.com - There is an interesting story from Meli Nuryani alias Meli LIDA who is said to be similar to Lesti. The champion of Liga Dangdut Indonesia 2020 has even been often said to be similar to the champion of Dangdut Academy season one long before she joined the competition.

When met in the Kalibata area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday afternoon (27/10), Meli admitted that she is no longer surprised by this. Therefore, she hopes that not only her appearance is similar, but also her luck and career are similar to Lesti's.

"I'm not surprised anymore because many people say 'how can you look similar?' maybe because we are both Sundanese. I hope that my luck and career will be similar to Lesti's," said Meli Nuryani.

Not only that, because of the resemblance, this sweet 16-year-old girl was even thought to be Lesti's sister. From close friends to teachers at school, they mistook her for Lesti's sibling.

"Actually, when I was still little, I looked more similar. Until yesterday during the competition, someone said 'Are you Lesti's little sister?' But according to Meli now, it's not," she said.

"Many people say 'Are you Lesti's relative?' Especially when I first entered school, the teachers and new friends said I was Lesti's sister," she continued.

2. Becoming a Reference & Role Model

Furthermore, because she is often mistaken for the younger sister of the singer of the song 'Ku Lepas Dengan Ikhlas', Meli often confirms the assumption. Therefore, for Meli LIDA, Lesti has become a reference and role model for her.

"I've said 'yes, I'm Lesti's sister' because I'm tired of answering and they just agree saying 'no wonder you look alike'. Well, it's because of sister Lesti, because Meli is inspired by her," she concluded.
